In the DiMera mansion, Gabi’s opening wedding gifts, including matching bullet proof vests with a card from Julie that reads, “‘til death do you part.” The doorbell rings and it’s Li. She demands to know what he’s doing there, and he offers her a wedding gift. “What is it, a bomb?” Li says he’d never hurt her, and he had nothing to do with Harris’ kidnapping.

He was hoping that now that she’s married, they could be friends. After all, he didn’t try to stop the wedding or murder the groom! She doesn’t buy whatever “game” he’s playing. She just wants him in jail, but when he says it won’t happen, she asks if it’s because “you’re screwing the D.A.?”

That’s crass… but also wrong. He’s not “screwing” her. She jabs that maybe he was hoping he’d be so good in the sack, Melinda wouldn’t prosecute him. Li insists he’s just heartbroken and trying to move on, so they don’t have to do this “contentious thing anymore.” She slams the door on him.

At the DA’s office, Stefan barges in to demand when Melinda is going to do something about “the man who tried to kill me.” She tried already, but Harris pointed at Megan and Rolf, Li had nothing to do with it. Stefan insists they know it’s not true, but Melinda points out they need proof, or her hands are tied. Stefan, though, wonders if she’s playing nice because she’s dating Li.

Lady Whistleblower has tipped the town off that the two were “canoodling.” No, Melinda says, that first date was a dumpster fire. The second, unintentional date went well, but the third one crashed and burned. Still, “I have to say, it was rather nice having my feelings returned for once.” Stefan tells her to “creative” to get a conviction — whatever she canwithinthe law.

Stefan comes home and shows her Li’s gift he found at the front door. Stefan assures her Li’s not dumb enough to give them a bomb that can be traced to them. He shakes the gift… and it starts ticking.

Over at the restaurant, Li finds Melinda and tells her heisinto her after all. Wendy thought that maybe Melinda was trying to ensnare him, but Li couldn’t get it out of his head. He apologizes and asks if they can start over. Anyway, he’s innocent and has nothing to fear from her. “Right?” Melinda flashes back to Stefan’s suggestion and assures Li that she believes he’s innocent. She asks if he wants to do this, andheflashes back to Gabi suggesting he could sleep with Melinda to keep her from prosecuting.

Back at the Kiriakis mansion, Maggie’s about to tell Xander about Sarah’s pregnancy at the Kiriakis mansion when Justin comes in with the news that Victor’s plane is missing. Everyone’s shocked, but after taking a moment, Maggie tries to clarify. “What do you mean missing? How can it be missing?” She tries holding it together as she asks if Justin thinks the plane crashed.

Justin insists they can’t jump to conclusions. After all, Victor didn’t file a flight plan to try to keep Bo’s location a secret from Megan. Maggie doesn’t even know where he was — but she tries calling. It goes straight to voice mail. Xander tries cheering her up that he might still be with Bo — maybe he came out of her coma! So Maggie calls Shawn to get Hope’s number and find out.

Shawn calls back to tell him Victor’s not with Hope. He left already. Three days ago. Hope doesn’t know where Victor was, but neither does Maggie. He was supposed to be home today, not three days ago. Where was he? Justin calls Shane for answers, who promises to look into it.

Maggie sends Alex and Xander home, she’s fine with Justin and Bonnie. They’ll update everyone. Xander comforts her and leaves, after she pretends not to remember what she was about to tell him.

Over at the Brady Pub, Belle fills Shawn in on what Kristen wanted and she fills him in on the Brady/Rachel drama. She and John are “hoping to hell he doesn’t do something rash.” She then tells Shawn that Xander proposed to Chloe. He’s horrified, and the two wonder what’s wrong with her that she’s still open to the option. Belle rolls her eyes and tells Shawn about her and Chloe’s fight.

They agree to celebrate his promotion when Maggie calls with the news that Victor’s missing. He calls and leaves a message with Hope but insists there’s no reason to panic yet. She calls back and says how he left three days ago, but he was vague and distracted when he left. Something was weighing on him. He should’ve let Maggie know what was going on, but “he’s never been known to consider other people’s feelings.”

But what if something happened to him? Shawn would feel terrible, they haven’t spoken in months. Belle tells him not to go there and Shawn says she’s right. He just hopes they get answers soon.

Brady, meanwhile, is locking lips with Chloe until she pushes him away and wants to know what the hell he’s doing. He apologizes and, after she yells again, he brings up Xander’s proposal and the possibility that he can still talk her out of “marrying that creep.”

She tells him he’s out of line, but Brady reminds her of the horrible things Xander’s done. Fine! But so what, they’ve both done terrible things too. Brady counters with what happened to Bonnie and Susan, but she says his regret is genuine. “He can be stubborn and arrogant and impulsive, but I’ve also gotten to know a man who’s kind and gentle and listens.”

But when Brady asks if she’s in love with him, she can’t answer.They’rechemistry, though, is still there for him, and he knows he felt it too. Like when he forced a kiss on her… They love each other, so time to tell Xander bye-bye.

No, they had too many obstacles, Chloe says, and nothing’s changed. Before he gets to telling her about Rachel, Chloe tells Brady that she’s moved on and wants to be with Xander, regardless. She doesn’t know yet if she’ll marry him, but all she can offer Brady now is friendship. He promises to try to understand and not to keep pushing. If Xander’s what she wants, he’ll try to accept. They shake on being friends again.

In the show’s last few minutes, Stefan pulls the present out after dunking it in water. The two brace for… a clock! Gabi says that Li told her that in Chinese culture, giving a clock as a gift was the same as wishing them dead.

Melinda and Li flirt, each with ulterior motives, then she asks him how he feels about Gabi and Stefan marrying. It hurt, but “it helps to have a fascinating, gorgeous woman sitting across from me.” He asks about her lingering feelings for Stefan, and she asks, “Stefan who?” They toast to each other, starting over and no more hidden agendas.

Brady is about to leave when Xander comes home, grumbling about his cousin trying to talk Chloe out of marriage. Brady admits he’s right, but he failed. Xander stops him, though, and tells him Victor is missing.

Maggie tells Bonnie she doesn’t have much of an appetite and goes to lie day. Justin promises to wake her with news if she falls asleep. She leaves and Alex admits that this seems as bad as it gets. He hugs Justin and Bonnie goodbye. But just as Bonnie is about to leave to check on Maggie, Shane calls. The coastguard found wreckage from the Titan jet in the Mediterranean. No word on any survivors. Justin and Bonnie hug as they try to keep it together.
