You can earn 5% Walgreens Cash rewards on all Walgreens branded products. This means anytime you buy a product carrying the Walgreens brand name—including beauty products like facial cleansers or nail polish remover and health essentials like vitamins—you'll earn unlimited 5% Walgreens Cash rewards.
- Will there be a myWalgreens™ card?
myWalgreens does not require a membership card, so you can earn and redeem rewards with less contact. That makes checkout safer for you and our team members, to help everyone stay healthy. It’s also more environmentally friendly, because we care about our communities.

myWalgreens™ is free to join!
- Can anyone sign up for myWalgreens™?
myWalgreens™ is available to U.S. residents at least 16 years old, and it’s free to join! Members between 16 and 18 years old (or between 16 and 21 years of age in Puerto Rico) must get permission from their parent or legal guardian first.
- What is required to become a myWalgreens™ member?
Your first name, last name, ZIP code, and phone number are needed to join myWalgreens™. Providing this basic information allows you to unlock sale prices in store and start earning Walgreens Cash rewards that are easy to redeem at checkout.
- What do I need to redeem my Walgreens Cash rewards?
Your email or home address is required to redeem Walgreens Cash rewards. The best way to access personalized deals and additional program benefits is by adding your email address to your profile.
- What if I don’t want to provide my email address?
No problem! You can still unlock sale price and earn Walgreens Cash rewards by providing your phone number, ZIP code and name. You can redeem your rewards by providing either your email or home address.
- What if I was a Balance® Rewards member and didn't sign up for myWalgreens™ by April 16, 2021?
You can still join myWalgreens to regain access to storewide savings, only-for-you deals and product recommendations. Join free now, it's fast and easy.
- What happens if I was a Balance® Rewards member and join myWalgreensTM after April 16, 2021?
The Balance Rewards program has ended along with all membership benefits. If you join myWalgreens™ after April 16, 2021, rewards previously earned as a Balance Rewards member will not be reinstated. Join myWalgreens now to unlock sale prices, earn rewards and more—it’s free, fast and easy.
- Can Walgreens reinstate my rewards if I join myWalgreens after April 16, 2021?
No, you can only keep your rewards if you join myWalgreens™ by April 16, 2021. That's why it’s important to sign up for myWalgreens by then, so you can keep your current rewards balance and earn even more.
Your Account
- Where can I find out how many Walgreens Cash rewards I have?
You can see your current Walgreens Cash rewards balance by logging in to your account at myWalgreens. or on the Walgreens mobile app. You can also view your current Walgreens Cash rewards balance on your last Walgreens receipt or by calling (855) 225-0400.
- When do Walgreens Cash rewards get posted to my myWalgreens account?
In most cases, Walgreens Cash rewards will be posted to your account immediately after your purchase. For online and pharmacy orders, it may take up to 24 hours to be awarded due to account and legal verification.
- If I have more than one myWalgreens account, can I transfer Walgreens Cash rewards between them?
No, you cannot transfer Walgreens Cash rewards between accounts, but you may merge your accounts. Please call (855) 225-0400 and speak with a customer service representative to merge accounts.
How the Program Works
- I live in a state that cannot earn Walgreens Cash rewards for prescriptions; what else can I earn Walgreens Cash rewards on?
You can earn 1% Walgreens Cash rewards storewide and 5% onWalgreens branded items. This only applies to items with the Walgreens and Corner W brands on the packaging.
- Are there items that cannot be purchased to earn or redeem Walgreens Cash rewards?
With the exception of photo orders and prescriptions (which must be picked up in a Participating Store in order to earn Walgreens Cash rewards), items ordered online and delivered to Member’s home will earn Walgreens Cash rewards as they would if purchased in store. Items ordered online using the “store pickup” feature will only earn Walgreens Cash rewards after the items have been picked up from the store. Rewards Promotions will not apply to rain check items purchased after the promotion has ended. Walgreens Cash rewards will not be earned on the portion of a transaction that was paid for using Walgreens Cash rewards or store credit. Unless explicitly stated otherwise, Rewards Promotions and Walgreens Cash rewards cannot be earned on purchases of: alcohol; dairy; tobacco; stamps; phone/prepaid/gift cards; money orders/transfers; transportation passes; lottery tickets; charitable donations; pseudoephedrine or ephedrine products; clinic services; pharmacy items or services covered under Washington state workers’ compensation; pharmacy items or services furnished by a Participating Store located in Arkansas, New Jersey or New York; prescriptions received through mail-order services; prescriptions received through specialty pharmacy services; sales tax; shipping; the Prescription Savings Club membership fee; and certain items that are excluded, in particular Rewards Promotions and any other items specified as exclusions by the Company from time to time or where prohibited by law. Walgreens Cash rewards cannot be earned for transferring a prescription to a Participating Store by a Member who is, or at any time in the prior 6 months was, a beneficiary of Medicare, Medicaid, Tricare or any other healthcare program funded in whole or in part by the federal government; Walgreens Cash rewards will also not be earned for transferring a prescription to a Participating Store located in Alabama, Mississippi, Oregon, Puerto Rico, Tennessee, or Virginia. Walgreen Co. reserves the right to add or delete items eligible for Walgreens Cash rewards issuance at any time, at its sole discretion, without notice.
- Can I combine Walgreens Cash rewards offers with in-store discounts and coupons?
Yes, you may use Walgreens Cash rewards along with other Walgreens or Duane Reade manufacturer discounts or promotions. For more information, view the complete coupon policy.
- Can I earn and redeem Walgreens Cash rewards on the same purchase?
Yes, but Walgreens Cash rewards will not be earned on the portion of a transaction that was paid for using redemption dollars or store credit..
- Does my Walgreens Cash rewards expire?
Yes, Walgreens Cash rewards expire one year after they are earned or if an account has been inactive for 6 months. Your account is deemed inactive if you have not used your membership in store or online.
- How do I request credit for Walgreens Cash rewards if they were not added to my account?
After logging into your account atmyWalgreens click onCredit for missing Walgreens Cash rewards.You can also access this on your mobile phone via the Walgreens mobile app or by calling (855) 225-0400 to speak with a customer service representative.
- Is this program active in Duane Reade and Walgreens stores?
Yes, this program is active at both Duane Reade and Walgreens. You can earn and redeem Walgreens Cash rewards at over 8,000 stores nationwide and on Walgreens.com.
- If I shop at both Walgreens and Duane Reade, do all my Walgreens Cash rewards accumulate in one account?
Yes, all your Walgreens Cash rewards will accumulate in your myWalgreens account..
- Can I earn and redeem Walgreens Cash rewards at Rite Aid stores that are transitioning to a Walgreens store?
Rite Aid stores owned by Walgreens currently do not participate in myWalgreens. For more information visitwalgreens.com/RiteAid.
Redemption
- How do I spend Walgreens Cash rewards?
"It's easy! You can use your Walgreens Cash rewards by providing your phone number or the contactless checkout bar code associated with your account during your purchase—just make sure your email address has been added to your myWalgreens™ account. When you spend your Walgreens Cash rewards, the savings are deducted from the total price of your purchase. Walgreens Cash rewards can be used in addition to Walgreens or other manufacturer discounts or promotions, unless otherwise stated in the promotional offer.Walgreens Cash rewards are applied to eligible purchases after tax and after all discounts, percent-off and manufacturer coupons. Earned Walgreens Cash rewards are converted into savings for you based on the following redemption tiers:
- (1) $1 Walgreen Cash rewards is converted to $1
- (2) $2 Walgreens Cash rewards is converted to $2
- (3) $3 Walgreens Cash rewards is converted to $3
- (4) $4 Walgreens Cash rewards is converted to $4
- (5) $5 Walgreens Cash rewards is converted to $5
- (6) $10 Walgreens Cash rewards is converted to $10
- (7) $20 Walgreens Cash rewards is converted to $20
- (8) $50 Walgreens Cash rewards is converted to $50
Walgreens Cash rewards can only be redeemed in the increments described above.
- How long are my Walgreens Cash rewards valid?
Walgreens Cash rewards expire one year after they are earned or if an account has been inactive for 6 months. Your account is deemed inactive if you have not used your membership in-store or online.
- Why was I charged in full for an order that I redeemed Walgreens Cash rewards for?
Your order may not have shipped in full.
- When will my Walgreens Cash rewards be redeemed for an online order?
When the order ships in full.

- What happened to Balance® Rewards?
We ended the Balance Rewards program to give you something even better! myWalgreens is a one-of-a-kind personalized experience that makes saving, shopping and your well-being easier.
- Why did we change from Balance® Rewards points to Walgreens Cash rewards?
We heard your feedback and simplified our rewards from Balance Rewards points to Walgreens Cash rewards, to make earning and tracking rewards easier for you. Plus, new Walgreens Cash rewards are equal to the value you earned as points—10 Balance Rewards points or 1% Walgreens Cash rewards on most purchases—so you’ll keep saving at the same great rate when you shop eligible items. $1 Walgreens Cash rewards is equivalent to 1000 Balance Rewards points, and redeeming $1 in Walgreens Cash rewards is the equivalent to saving $1 on your eligible purchase.

- (2) 2000 points = $2 rewards
- (3) 3000 points = $3 rewards
- (4) 4000 points = $4 rewards
- (5) 5000 points = $5 rewards

- What happens to my Balance® Rewards points if they aren’t used by April 16, 2021?
Balance Rewards points converted to Walgreens Cash rewards expired on April 16, 2021 if the Balance Rewards member did not register for myWalgreens™ by then. If you join myWalgreens™ after April 16, 2021, rewards previously earned as a Balance Rewards member will not be reinstated. The Balance Rewards for healthy choices® program has ended, but as a myWalgreens™ member you can earn Walgreens Cash rewards for reaching your health goals and enjoy great benefits.
- Will Beauty Enthusiast members still receive beauty samples and event invites?
Yes! You'll continue to receive invites to beauty sampling events at your local Walgreens cosmetics department when you join myWalgreens.
- What changed about my local environmental and health alerts?
As of April 19, 2022 this feature is no longer available on the WalgreensApp, butstay tuned for new features and benefits formyWalgreensmembers.
