UTHealth Houston
UTHealth Houston is Texas’ resource for health care education, innovation, scientific discovery, and excellence in patient care. With half a century of experience, UTHealth Houston is one of the nation’s most comprehensive academic health centers.
Mission
The mission of UTHealth Houston is to educate health science professionals, discover and translate advances in the biomedical and social sciences, and model the best practices in clinical care and public health.
We pursue this mission in order to advance the quality of human life by enhancing the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease and injury as well as promoting individual health and community well-being.

UT Physicians, a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization, is the clinical practice of McGovern Medical School. Through a range of specialties that include neurosciences, orthopedics, heart and vascular health, and women’s and children’s health, our faculty offer urgent, highly specialized, or complex care to individuals and families in Houston and across Harris County and surrounding areas.
Revenue from UT Physicians provides UTHealth Houston with additional resources to support our faculty and further enhance the education of the health care professionals of tomorrow.

UT Dentists is the multidisciplinary faculty practice of the School of Dentistry. Faculty dentists and specialists treat patients with every type of dental issue to improve oral health, which is essential to overall wellness.
UT Health Services is a nationally recognized nurse-managed primary care center through Cizik School of Nursing. Nurse practitioners provide patient care in collaboration with a UTHealth Houston physician.
